how?

Classic Irish Racing was an idea thought of by myself. My Father has always been into photography (especially of motorbikes) and with me being in the type of work I am, I thought it would be a nice idea to display all his pictures online.

who?

We weren't sure what to call the site and we played with a few names. My father couldn't get to grips that I was toying with the word "classic" in the title but once I reminded him it was between 30 and 40 years ago he had taken the pictures, he soon agreed that classic irish racing was a well suited name.

when?

The site took a bit of time to set up and since launch date has had a 'face lift' as most of steveodesigns websites tend to do. The site has now been online for just over 2 years and is proving to be a success.

stats

Since launch date classic irish racing has had more than 30,000 hits in its first two years with 17,000 coming in the first year - pretty good for a site that originally wasnt very high in Google rankings.

other

The site has never had any advertising as such, just general word of mouth and out of the 250 business cards that were printed there is till over 150 left.

One of the places the business cards seem to go is at motorbike shows and at the latest bike show our very own Johnny Rea even managed to be given one!
